Current policy support

Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security requested the MAFAP programme's support on agricultural-sector planning by identifying reform priorities, charting reform implementation pathways, proposing technical and financial implementation roadmaps, and supporting resource mobilization to adopt and implement the prioritized reforms. This evidence will be needed to design and influence a forthcoming national agricultural investment plan called the National Agrifood Systems Investment Plan (NASIP).

FAO's MAFAP programme, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, officially launches the Nigeria Food and Agriculture Policy Monitoring Review at a high-level event in Abuja.
