Outputs

The project implements its three key activities in alignment with the pillars of the Visión Amazonía Program (AVP), an initiative of the Government of Colombia aimed at transforming deforestation dynamics through strengthened forest governance, the promotion of sustainable forest-based economies and the protection of Amazonian territories.

To achieve these objectives, the project is structured around three outputs. Output 1, aligned with the Enabling Conditions pillar, focuses on strengthening monitoring systems, institutional capacities and coordination mechanisms needed to prevent and control deforestation. Output 2, aligned with the Forest pillar, promotes Sustainable Forest Management and the development of forest-based economies that contribute to closing the agricultural frontier. Finally, Output 3 is implemented under the Indigenous Pillar of Visión Amazonía (PIVA) and aims to strengthen territorial governance and the capacities of Indigenous Peoples for the sustainable management and conservation of forests.

El proyecto incluye también un Plan de Acción de Género, cuyo objetivo es garantizar que se integre un enfoque sensible al género en todas sus actividades. A través de este plan, la iniciativa promueve acciones que refuerzan la participación y el liderazgo de las mujeres en la gobernanza forestal, la gestión forestal sostenible y los procesos de desarrollo territorial. Asimismo, apoya iniciativas que potencian las capacidades de las mujeres, mejoran su acceso a oportunidades económicas sostenibles y garantizan su participación efectiva en los espacios de toma de decisiones relacionados con la conservación forestal y la gestión sostenible de la tierra.
