National seminar on the development of biosafety policies and guidelines in accordance with the Cartagena Protocol was held in the city of Naryn on 19 June. The seminar was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (RECCA).

In spring 2026, more than 400 000 forest and fruit tree seedlings were planted under the project across the pilot districts of Uzgen, Suzak, Ak-Talaa and Toguz-Toro. These community-based planting activities covered more than 500 hectares of land within both the State Forest Fund and municipal territories managed by local self-government bodies, known as aiyl okmotu.
