A seminar on the application of risk level assessment criteria in the area of phytosanitary supervision was held in Bishkek. The event took place on 11 February and aimed to strengthen the capacity of phytosanitary supervision specialists to use risk‑based approaches when assessing the activities of business entities.

Under the FAO project “Carbon Sequestration through Climate Investments in Forests and Pastures in Kyrgyzstan” (CS–FOR), the Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS), acting as the project's operational partner, handed over office equipment and pasture monitoring tools to Community Landscape Management Groups.

Modern laboratory equipment, consumables, mobile laboratory kits, and a fully equipped boat will enable specialists to conduct on-site assessments of fish populations directly at the lakes. Furthermore, an additional equipment set, including a portable photometer for water quality analysis and a dissolved oxygen meter, was provided to the Centre for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise.

On 5 December 2025, a tree-planting event was held in the Kara-Kemer Gorge of Ton District, Issyk-Kul Region, as part of the national “Jashyl Muras” campaign. The event brought together the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Forest Service, local authorities, and community members.

In honor of this international date, a scientific-practical conference was held in Bishkek at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K. I. Skryabin. The event was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Soil Science Society named after academician A. M. Mamytov and aimed to draw attention to the issue of protecting and improving soil health.
