Pre-COP27 Workshop: Agriculture and Climate Change in the Near East and North Africa

The FAO Near East and North Africa office is organizing a pre-COP27 workshop on agriculture and climate change from 1 to 3 November in Cairo, Egypt.  

This workshop aims to provide national practitioners and focal points in climate change and agriculture in the NENA region with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and gain a greater understanding of how to engage with national climate change processes toward the improved implementation of climate action in agrifood systems. 

Taking the opportunity of the UNFCCC 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) to be held in the region, in Egypt, the workshop’s main objective is to enhance the awareness of focal points on issues related to agriculture in the Convention, formulate messages to bring to COP, and identify entry points for integrating agriculture sectors’ climate priorities in national and global climate policy.
