The livelihoods of up to 13 million people continue to be threatened by plagues of migratory locusts in Madagascar. As FAO renews calls for further funding to contribute to its emergency programme, the Director of Emergencies and Rehabilitation, Dominique Burgeon explains why it remains a high priority area.
