Building bridges between science and development to combat climate change and its impacts is at the heart of a new partnership agreement between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) that was signed at an official event held in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on Monday, 19 December 2016.  Mustapha Sinaceur, Director of  FAO’s Liaison Office with the European Union and Belgium said the partnership was based on a “pre-existing, fruitful relationship between our two institutions” and that they shared a vision and common goals for enhancing institutional capacities to address global climate change mitigation and adaptation. “FAO and UCL...

The first ever visit of FAO Director-General to IFPRI’s headquarters in Washington last week celebrated four decades of rich partnership that has generated cutting-edge technical knowledge and enhanced expertise for supporting food security and improved nutrition. The Agreement calls for the exchange of expertise and resources, development of training materials and greater professional learning opportunities for students
FAO and the Roma Tre University in Rome have signed an agreement to strengthen their ongoing collaboration in the education sector. FAO will now contribute its expertise in the key themes of Food Security, Nutrition and Sustainable Development to the university Master’s courses. As a result of the agreement, Roma Tre will formally integrate FAO's materials and resources in its English-language Master’s programs "Human Development and Food Security" and "Cooperatives: Economics, Law and Management".
