Pastoralist Knowledge Hub

Introduction

The Pastoralist Knowledge Hub www.fao.org/pastoralist-knowledge-hub/ is a knowledge and advocacy platform with the aim of bringing pastoral voices to the global stage. It sees itself as a coordination mechanism that brings various stakeholders together to work towards sustainable pastoralism.

The Database is hosted and managed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Purpose

The purpose of the Database is to give Stakeholders working with pastoralists the opportunity to find and connect with each other.

Agreement

By using the Database, you acknowledge and agree that these Terms and Conditions (as may be amended by FAO from time to time and without notice) shall apply. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, do not access or otherwise use the Database.

Access

FAO reserves the right at any time, to modify or close temporarily or permanently, the Database, including any means of accessing or utilizing it, at its sole discretion with or without prior notice to users.

FAO may at its sole discretion, under any circumstances, for any or no reason whatsoever and with or without prior notice to users, terminate any user’s access to the Database.

Disclaimer

FAO shall process all data in accordance with its rules, policies and practice. Institutions may request amendment of the information relating to them in the Database. FAO reserves the right to edit, modify or delete any data contained in the Database at its own discretion.

The data has been collected during regional meetings with pastoralist civil society organizations and from pastoral networks. Information provided in this Database is provided “as is”. No guarantee is given that the information provided is correct, complete, or up-to-date. FAO does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any data provided in the Database.

The designations employed and the presentation of the material on the Database do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of FAO concerning the legal or development status of any country, territory, city or area or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries.

FAO shall not be responsible for any entries that are not received due to internet or software failures.

Links to other websites are provided for the user's convenience only and do not constitute endorsement by FAO of material at those sites, or any associated organization, product or service.

FAO shall not be liable for any loss, damage or third party claims arising from the use or misuse of the Database, including any relating to the integrity and security of the information provided by Database and to any interruptions, delays, errors or lost data that may occur.

Privileges and Immunities

Nothing contained in or related to these Terms and Conditions or to the Database shall be deemed a waiver, express or implied, of the privileges and immunities of FAO, or as its acceptance of the jurisdiction of the courts of any country over disputes arising out of these Terms and Conditions or Database or any other document related to them. This database, its operation and management is not subject to any national or regional system of law.
