La coalición “La comida no es nunca un desperdicio” se puso en marcha en Roma en 2021, durante los actos previos a la Cumbre de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Sistemas Alimentarios, para impulsar la Agenda 2030 con el fin de acelerar el ritmo de reducción de las pérdidas y el desperdicio de alimentos tras la Cumbre y lograr así la meta 12.3 de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).

The conference took place between 24-27 April 2023 in Ha Noi, Viet Nam, convening over 350 on-site and 1000 virtual participants from a range of actor groups. The conference focused on how food systems need to be transformed to overcome the multiple deeply rooted and interlinked crises. 

On behalf of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Antonio Tajani, announced today the UN Food Systems Stocktaking Moment, will take place in Rome, Italy from 24 – 26 July 2023, at the premises of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
