The Faculty of Agriculture (FoA) of the University of Mauritius is leading the “Food Loss and Waste Reduction and Recovery” Initiative (hereafter referred to as FLoWeR Initiative) scheduled over one year (February 2018 to March 2019) with the aim of creating national awareness on food loss and food waste reduction and recovery among all stakeholders along the agri-food value chain. This initiative is in line with the Target 12.3 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which is “ halving per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reducing food losses along production and supply chains” by 2030.

This website has been operational since February 2018 and will be regularly updated through March. All the documents related to the Forum and the conference have been posted. A useful list of resources has been posted on the page; additional relevant documents will be added in due course.
