Food Loss and Waste Reduction in Europe and Central Asia

Projects

Title Multi-disciplinary Working Group on Applying Behavioural Science to Food Loss and Waste Reduc-tion
Introduction Despite numerous interventions aimed at reducing food waste, challenges remain in effectively addressing this issue. These challenges include a lack of understanding of the complex factors driving food waste at the consumer level and limited targeting of interventions. At the same time, well-intended strategies, policies, and initiatives may fall short if they fail to fully recognize the individual decision-making processes of value chain actors and the contexts in which they operate.
