The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), and the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM Zaragoza), is pleased to announce the launch of the Advanced Course on Wastewater Reuse for Agriculture, to be held in Zaragoza, Spain, from 20 to 25 October 2025.
As water scarcity intensifies in arid and semi-arid regions, the safe reuse of treated wastewater for agriculture emerges as a key solution to bridge the growing demand for food and the shrinking availability of freshwater. This course aims to build the technical capacity of professionals working in the field of non-conventional water resources by integrating key elements, technologies, and policy instruments for wastewater reuse in agriculture.

Target Audience:
