Water Accounting and Water for Food (CoP)

Goal: The objective of this platform is to gather a community of practice interested in developing a common understanding on the relevance of water accounting, to inform policy making and investment planning. It is also an opportunity to gain knowledge about a range of tools, approaches and issues related to applying water accounting and its interpretation.

Water Productivity and Agriculture (CoP)

Goal: This community of practice provides a space for active information exchange, dialogue and discussion on all issues related to water productivity in the agricultural sector. Improving water productivity to cope with water scarcity and measuring ET are the main topics addressed under this community of practice.

Water-Energy-Food Nexus (CoP)

Goal: This community of practice develops the concept of water-energy-food nexus and gives examples of practical application. The goal is for participants to think beyond sectors, gain an understanding of the importance of the nexus concept and find appropriate nexus solutions to achieve sustainability, resilience and water security.

Climate Change Mitigation in Agriculture

Goal: This community of practice links practitioners, national policy decision-makers, and people working in civil society organizations and the private sector aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. Community members exchange their knowledge about the development and adoption of sustainable mitigation practices currently being used in agricultural production systems around the world, in a collective efforts to influence relevant policy areas and Increase the visibility of climate change mitigation in agriculture at a global level.

SWE Community of Practice | Safe Water Network

Goal: The SWE Community of Practice’s goal is to harness the power of collective action to improve SWE efficiencies by: sharing best practices and establishing sector standards and definitions; strengthening the evidence base of SWE viability; developing the tools, processes, and systems to facilitate the replication of SWEs; and accelerating the scaling of SWEs through coordinated advocacy to mobilize funding and improve policies in the sector.

Online Community of Practice (CoP) for Forest and Landscape Restoration

Goal: The Forest and Landscape Restoration Mechanism (FLRM) online communities of practices (CoPs) support Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) by creating communications channels across diverse networks, promoting innovation and technological support, facilitating a space for sharing experiences and inspiring examples on the ground. The aim of the FLRM CoPs is to open a network that brings together experience and learning to a virtual space through online exchange.
