FAO in Rwanda
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has been an essential partner of the Rwandan government since 1985, working through the FAO Rwanda Country Programming Framework (CPF). This framework aligns with national priorities, including the National Strategy for Transformation (NST) and the Strategic Plan for the Transformation of Agriculture (PSTA), as well as global development goals and regional commitments such as the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP).
FAO Rwanda collaborates with the government and the UN Country Team to support economic transformation by creating decent and productive jobs and increasing exports. By focusing on sustainable agricultural growth, food security, and poverty reduction, FAO Rwanda promotes inclusive development and environmental sustainability. Through strategic partnerships and innovation, FAO Rwanda aims to transform agrifood systems and improve livelihoods.

About FAO Grievance Mechanisms
The FAO in Rwanda has a grievance mechanism that allows individuals and communities to report concerns related to its projects, including misconduct and abuse, safely and confidentially. Complaints can be submitted via email to the FAO Rwanda Country Office at [email protected] and will be handled impartially and promptly.
