Knowledge Platforms
The knowledge platforms within the Gateway address diverse areas, including digital transformation in agriculture, gender empowerment in dryland ecosystems, and the preservation of agricultural heritage systems. These platforms provide practical tools, case studies, and opportunities for peer learning, enabling stakeholders to exchange experiences and co-create solutions. Through this integrated approach, the Gateway promotes inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development, ensuring that knowledge becomes a catalyst for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
South-South Galaxy
UNOSSC’s South-South Galaxy is a global knowledge sharing and partnership brokering platform launched in 2019 with the support of the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, and through consultations with UN agencies and other development partners. The platform acts as a needs broker and aims to facilitate partnerships between countries and regions for knowledge sharing, capacity development and creating a wide range of opportunities.
Sustainable Food Value Chain (SFVC) Knowledge Platform
The SFVC knowledge platform is a global platform that provides a user-friendly gateway to practical guidance and information on the development of sustainable food value chains. Underpinning the platform is a community of members, which facilitates networking and the exchange of ideas, materials and knowledge products among policy-makers, project designers, field practitioners and other people working on topics related to sustainable food value chains. The Global Farmer Field Schools Platform
The platform has been created to give space to all actors involved in FFS globally as to allow for exchange of information and improved quality and efficiency of FFS activities. It will include, among others, background information on FFS, regional pages showcasing regional activities, a knowledge repository, a global roster of FFS experts and a partners’ page.
Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN Forum)
The FSN Forum is an online platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue on food security and nutrition facilitated by FAO It allows registered members and other stakeholders to engage in policy dialogue and knowledge sharing on food security and nutrition both globally and in targeted geographic areas.
Climate Change Knowledge Hub
The Climate Change Knowledge Hub (CC-Hub) gathers existing knowledge and resources on climate change in the agriculture and land use sectors Its interactive features allow users to connect with peers, experts and capacity building providers. It also provides data, learning materials and activities, guidelines, policy advice and tools. The CC-Hub's overall aim is to enhance countries' knowledge and capacity to deliver on their climate and sustainable development goals.
Pastoralists Knowledge Hub
The Pastoralist Knowledge Hub is an initiative bringing together pastoralists and the main actors working with them to join forces and create the synergies for dialogue and pastoralist development.
Family Farming Knowledge Platform
The Family Farming Knowledge Platform gathers digitized quality information on family farming from all over the world; including national laws and regulations, public policies, best practices, relevant data and statistics, researches, articles and publications. It provides a single access point for international, regional and national information related to family farming issues; integrating and systematizing existing information to better inform and provide knowledge-based assistance to policy-makers, family farmers’ organizations, development experts, as well as to stakeholders in the field

The FAO corporate Policy Portal provides a single point of access to policy areas of work under the Strategic Framework, with its own thematic “landing pages” and associated Policy and Governance video series.
Committee on World Food Security (CFS)
The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) is the foremost inclusive international and intergovernmental platform for all stakeholders to work together to ensure food security and nutrition for all. Using a multi-stakeholder, inclusive approach, CFS develops and endorses policy recommendations and guidance on a wide range of food security and nutrition topics.
