The course series consists of the following courses:
Surveillance and pest status determination
This course introduces key concepts related to pest surveillance and pest status determination, particularly as they relate to new pest detections and emerging pests. It provides practical guidance to assist National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs) in strengthening their national surveillance systems and surveillance activities to support early pest detection, pest monitoring and pest status determination.
National reporting obligations
This course introduces key concepts related to pest reporting, focusing in particular on national reporting system and National reporting obligations (NROs) for reporting the occurrence, outbreak and spread of pests. It provides practical guidance on what information must be exchanged, responsibilities and receiving entities, plus step-by-step instructions on how to create, publish and update a pest report on the International Phytosanitary Portal (IPP).
