Country Programming Framework for Timor-Leste

The Country Programming Framework outlines FAO’s strategic priorities and partnership with the Government of Timor-Leste over a 5-year period. It aligns global best practices and technical expertise with national development goals to promote sustainable agrifood systems, food security and nutrition, and rural livelihoods.
The Country Programming Framework is developed in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Forestry (MALFF) and national partners to ensure coherence with the country’s development agenda and policy priorities.

The Country Programming Framework for Timor-Leste 2020–2024 sets three priority areas to guide FAO’s work and engagement in Timor-Leste:

  1. Nutrition, Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture
  2. Economic Opportunities and Decent Work for All
  3. Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Resilience to Climate Change
