FAO in Vietnam
FAO started working in Viet Nam in 1978 to support sustainable development in agriculture, food security and nutrition, forestry, fisheries, and animal health. Building on more than four decades of cooperation, FAO is a trusted partner as Viet Nam navigates intensifying climate risks, demographic shifts and global trade changes while pursuing ambitious national development goals. FAO’s work is guided by the Country Programming Framework, aligned with national priorities and FAO’s Strategic Framework 2022–2031, and centered on the Four Betters to promote inclusive, resilient and sustainable development.
