Welcome! This e-library provides good practices and resources to guide stakeholders in the operationalization of the guidelines.
To ensure relevance, the e-library includes only materials published from 2015 onward, reflecting the most current lessons, innovations and resources. New case studies and resources will be included through the library’s regular updates, providing an ever-growing source of insight and inspiration for all who wish to take on the challenge of advancing gender equality and girls’ and women’s empowerment within food security and nutrition.
We encourage you to draw on the documents herein to strengthen your contributions to transformative interventions. Achieving effective and lasting change requires a systemic perspective, one that addresses the root causes of gender discrimination and the interconnected gender inequalities that reinforce one another. As many of the documents attached state, combining intentional management-level approaches with well-designed activities can lead to significant and lasting impact! It is also essential to adapt these resources to each specific context and set of priorities, ensuring that interventions are both relevant and effective.
The VG-GEWGE is articulated around cross-cutting recommendations and nine specific focus areas which are outlined in detail below. This e-library uses simplified summaries of each VG-GEWGE focus area for your ease of reference. For further reference, access the full VG-GEWGE document here.
