Launch of the HLPE Report #10 (a CFS event)

In October 2014, the CFS requested the HLPE to conduct a study on Sustainable Agricultural Development for Food Security and Nutrition, including the role of Livestock.


 The HLPE is now launching the report in FAO. Q&A session will follow the presentation (link to agenda below).


 This report addresses the economic, environmental and social dimensions of agricultural development, focusing on the livestock component. It identifies challenges to the achievement of sustainability in livestock systems and possible pathways for better food security and nutrition for all, now and in the future.


It concludes with recommendations for appropriate actions by policy-makers and stakeholders.
