The 5th Africa Agriculture Science Week and FARA General Assembly will be held on 19-24 July 2010 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. This is a major event of FARA held every three years to show progress and identify future programs which is related to "Agriculture innovations in a changing global environment". AU-NEPAD will also hold their CAADP Day during the week. This will feature the achievements and lessons learnt from the past few years in the implementation of CAADP, as well as feature countries with promising outlook. The week will also feature the award gala of the Foundation for Democracy in Africa which gives their Medal of Glory Award to prominent African leaders who contributed to the advancement of African development, democracy and good governance.
