FAO-ECOWAS PARTNERSHIP CONSULTATIVE MEETING _ 21 March 2017 - Lome, Togo

At a courtesy visit made by the ECOWAS Commissioner for Agriculture, Environment and Water Resources to the FAO Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Africa in February 2017, it was emphasized that the collaboration needs to be supported and facilitated through a structured regular consultation to deliberate on progress in implementation of partnership projects/programmes and strategize on future course of joint actions. To this effect, it was proposed to hold the first such meeting on 21 March 2017 in Lomé, Togo, taking advantage of the ECOWAS meetings that will be held there.
