Media Advisory - "Food for All" Forum

01/07/2010 the Philippines

Press Conference at ADB Auditorium Annexes 1 & 2
Wednesday, 7 July 2010

The Asia and Pacific region’s food security is at risk. Already home to two-thirds of the world’s one billion hungry, the region is vulnerable to food supply fluctuations, projected increases in food demand, sustainability concerns from land and water constraints, and unfolding climate change impacts.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) are co-organizing the first regional forum on food security. The forum will explore how the public and private sectors can work together to improve the productivity, connectivity, financing, trade and resilience of the region’s food supply chains.

Join us in a press conference to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the food sector, and how innovative new solutions are becoming available to make ensure food security for all.
