AEC: rice market in ASEAN

Bo Luangtong of Thai Television Channel 7 explains the future of food security once the coming Asean Economic Community (AEC) is launched at the end of 2015 on her programme "AEC: mai ru, mai dai" ("AEC: Don't know? Should know," which includes an interview with Hiroyuki Konuma, Assistant Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization's Regional Office for Asia and Pacific. Bo explains in Thai, that Mr Konuma agrees the AEC can help improve food security in its member countries in Southeast Asia.

Pakistan Floods - One year on

The  floods that struck Pakistan starting in July 2010 represented one of the most devastating natural disasters of our times, submerging  almost one-fifth of the country, killing 2000 people, affecting 20 million and destroying 1.6 million homes.
