The FAO IYFF communications toolkit provides tools and suggestions for informing and engaging the public in family farming-related activities. Read through the texts provided in this section for key messages and tips. Use the toolkit videos, photos and promotional materials to increase awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by family farmers and smallholders. Share these materials with community institutions such as schools, local farmers’ associations, and businesses. Make them available to local or national media outlets and government offices.

In this section you can find the official IYFF PowerPoint presentation (available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian as well as Italian and Portuguese); the IYFF leaflet (available in the six FAO official languages, Portuguese, Hungarian and Turkish) and the IYFF brochure, Family Farmers - Feeding the world, caring for the earth (available in the six FAO official languages, Italian and Turkish).
This 2:42 min video produced for the launch of the IYFF is available in the six FAO official languages in addition to Italian and Portuguese. The video is also available with Slovak, Romanian and Turkish subtitles. The video gives an overview of what family farming is and why it is important.
