P4P Gender Strategy

The Purchase for Progress (P4P) Gender Strategy provides a framework to address the many challenges faced by women smallholder farmers. These include women’s limited access to inputs and credit, their unpaid contributions to farming and the male-held control of household production and marketing. The development of this strategy was led by the Agricultural Learning Impacts Network (ALINe), and included extensive field research and literature review, to provide a nuanced and culturally specific view of women in agriculture.
