Preserving, strengthening and promoting Indigenous Peoples’ food and knowledge systems and traditional practices for sustainable food systems - HLPE-FSN consultation on the scope of the report
To respond to the CFS request, the HLPE-FSN will develop the report “Preserving, strengthening and promoting Indigenous Peoples’ food and knowledge systems and traditional practices for sustainable food systems” which will will provide recommendations to the CFS workstream. The results of this consultation will be used by the HLPE-FSN to elaborate the report to be presented at the 54th plenary session of the CFS in October 2026.

How school food and nutrition activities can promote lifelong healthy eating habits
School feeding and school food and nutrition programmes are currently gaining visibility and being implemented in Africa. This discussion aims at sharing experiences and views on the features of these programmes and on how to scale them up and strengthen their impacts in the long term.

Towards the Development of the Programme on Sustainable Food Systems (SFSP)
FAO and UNEP are jointly developing a programme on sustainable food systems under the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns (10YFP). As part of this process, a public consultation is being organized in order to take stock of relevant information on initiatives, collect comments of a draft concpt note and collect expressions of interest of entities to participate in the Programme.
