We are thrilled to announce the forthcoming Global Symposium on Soil and Water (GSOWA23) to be held from 2 to 5 October 2023. This event will be held in a hybrid format at FAO headquarters, blending both in-person and virtual participation. Additionally, World Soil Day 2023 will adopt the theme "Soil and Water: a source of life”. 

Given the importance of the integrated management of soils and water, the Symposium will coincide with and benefit from the Water Rome Dialogue 2023 (4-5 October). This will enable technical exchange among participants of the two events with the reporting and closing plenary session jointly organized to provide an opportunity for cross-fertilization and exchange on the technical discussions and outcomes from both events.
