The SDF will be provided by a single soil information institution, or a consortium of such.The GSP Secretariat has now published the call for the Soil Data Facility. Any interested institution can apply following the selection criteria published in this call.

The SDF will provide technical and product-related support to the development of the Global Soil Information System (GloSIS); it will host, develop and maintain important elements of the underlying spatial data infrastructure (SDI). The GSP Data Policy, which is expected to be endorsed by the upcoming 5th Plenary Assembly 20-22 June 2017, will apply to all data flows between GSP partners and the SDF.

Submitter/s must comply with the selection criteria specified in the “Open Call – Global Soil Partnership Soil Data Facility” (downloadable). Application shall be sent to GSP Secretariat by May, 10 2017. The pre-screening of applications will be jointly conducted by the GSP Secretariat and P4WG.  The final selection of the SDF will rest with the 5th GSP Plenary Assembly (PA).
