Ecosystem-based farming comes of age
18 January 2016, Rome--- A new book by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization released today is suggesting a paradigm shift towards more sustainable and inclusive agriculture worldwide. The food agency stresses that we need to be able to produce higher yields over the longer term to feed the future population. Drawing on case studies from around the planet, the new book illustrates how the “Save and Grow” approach to agriculture - advocated by FAO - is already being successfully employed.

Josef Kienzle, an agricultural engineer with FAO in Rome, gives us a bit more insight into the case studies and analysis featured in the book.
