18 July 2016, Rome--- The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization has released this year’s report on the State of the World’s forests. According to the Organization, meeting the increasing demand for food worldwide will require productive landscapes that are managed sustainability. This latest report details why and how forests play a key role for global food supplies. And it also identifies 22 countries that have successfully maintained or even increased their forest areas, improving food security in their respective countries.
