FAO Awards Ceremony

Green Room (FAO Headquarters)
30.11.2015
 Rome time

African Union Commission, World Rural Forum, Thai Ministry, the National Geographic Society and field officers garner awards from FAO

As the drive to end hunger gains greater priority on the global agenda, it is even more important to publicly acknowledge achievements and showcase positive results.

The FAO Awards honour outstanding contributions to global food security by recognizing persons or institutions who are working hard to achieve the global Zero Hunger goal by 2030. They are the champions of the Zero Hunger Generation - the first generation with the capacity to end hunger and make food and nutrition security truly universal.

5 FAO Awards will be presented: the B.R. Sen Award, the A.H. Boerma Award, the Edouard Saouma Award, the Jacques Diouf Award and the Margarita Lizárraga Award. The 9 winners are listed on the website.
