Protecting People at Risk in Emergencies and Conflicts: Some Lessons from the Field

In commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, FAO is holding an event to demonstrate its support and commitment to the UN campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women spearheaded by the Secretary-General. The event will raise awareness on the linkages between gender-based violence, food insecurity, poverty and humanitarian emergencies; and will showcase a few examples of how FAO is protecting individuals most at risk of violence through its efforts on food security, nutrition and poverty alleviation.
