AgroAid Foundation

AgroAid Foundation is a non-profit, non-political and non-government rural service provider and civil society organization. It was established in January 2014 by Dr. Mohammad Ariful Islam in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. The Foundation is based on the principle of a “hand-up” rather than a ”hand-out” and “pass on” policy on helping farmers, rural poor and women to become more productive using their limited resources efficiently and effectively. The foundation will work as an inter-face among the public, private sectors, academic institutions and development agencies.

The aims are to mitigate poverty alleviation through the development of agriculture, livestock, aquaculture & fisheries, as well as an integrated fish-crop-livestock and dairy development farming system. The mandates of the foundation are to provide services for rural poor peoples, landless poor, especially women, unemployed youth to provide protein supply and food security and poverty alleviation through creating the sustainable livelihood rural masses in Bangladesh.
