Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering (CSAE)
China
On January 15, 1948, 19 Chinese students studying agricultural engineering in the United States convened the first preparatory meeting for the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineers in Stockton, California. Due to historical reasons, the first National Congress of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineers was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, in 1979, formally establishing the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineers.
The Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering (CSAE) is a national first-level society affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology and a national member of the International Council for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (CIGR). As an academic, comprehensive, and public-welfare scientific and technological society, CSAE organizes various activities to unite and organize agricultural engineering professionals, promote agricultural engineering technological innovation and prosperity, strengthen the popularization and promotion of agricultural engineering, and accelerate the growth and advancement of scientific and technological personnel. The CSAE serves as a bridge and link between the Party and the government and agricultural engineering professionals, serves as an advisor and assistant to the nation's agricultural and agricultural engineering science and technology development, and is a vital social force in promoting the development of agriculture and rural economies.
The Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering (CSAE) currently has 31 branches and six working committees: Academic Exchange, International Exchange, Science Popularization, Consulting, Education, and Youth Science and Technology. The Society also has 25 specialized committees and branches, including those for Agricultural Information and Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Remote Sensing, Agricultural Mechanization and Equipment, Rural Planning and Design Engineering , Facility Horticulture Engineering, Seed Industry Equipment Engineering, Agricultural Resources, Environment, and Energy Engineering, Agricultural Product Processing and Storage Engineering, Agricultural Systems Engineering, Digital Rural Engineering, Animal Husbandry Engineering, Agricultural Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural Engineering Standardization, Land Use Engineering, Comprehensive Development and Utilization of Mountain Resources, Aquatic Engineering, Castor Economic Technology, Agricultural Aviation, Editing and Publishing, Agricultural Product Logistics Engineering, Big Data, Agricultural Product Quality and Nutrition Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Agricultural Robotics, Smart Farmland Utilization and Protection Engineering, and Rural Human Settlement Environment Improvement. With over 10,000 members, 23 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities have established CSAEs.
