The Department of Agriculture Research (DAR) is one of the five technical departments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS). DAR is mandated to generate, adapt and transfer agricultural technologies and scientific knowledge and provide relevant services for both subsistence and commercial farmers and other stake-holders for sustainable development of agriculture.
