Estación Experimental de Zonas Áridas (EEZA)

The Experimental Station of Arid Zones (EEZA) is an Institute of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) belonging to the Natural Resources Area. It was created in 1947 by Mr. Manuel Mendizábal under the name of Instituto de Aclimatación de Almería. The current lines of basic and applied research on ecological interactions, evolutionary and geomorphological processes in order to solve conservation and environmental management, particularly in arid areas.
