Kazan University was granted the status of a federal university by the decision of the Government of Russian Federation in 2010.

The editorial board of the journal "Scientific Notes of Kazan University. The Natural Sciences Series" (hereinafter referred to as the Journal) sees the main goal of its activities as the promotion and dissemination of information about the most significant research achievements and innovative solutions in the field of natural sciences, as well as the promotion of the exchange of professional experience in the Russian and international community.
