The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan develops and implements public policy for the agricultural sector, food security, sustainable use of farmland and irrigation water, support for farmers and cooperation, digitalization of the industry and international cooperation within its mandate.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the publisher of two national peer-reviewed scientific journals in agriculture and water resources: O'zbekiston qishloq va suv xo'jaligi (Agriculture and Water Management of Uzbekistan, ISSN 2181-502X, published since 1906) and its scientific supplement, Agro ilm (ISSN 2091-5616, published since 2007). Both journals are included in the official list of scientific publications of the Higher Attestation Commission (OAK) under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Decision No. 374/5, dated 25 August 2025). Their coverage includes agronomy, plant protection, soil science, irrigation and water management, livestock, agricultural economics, and rural development. All content is open access and published under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
