The Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) is the main public university of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, established since 1830 in the department of La Paz and deployed throughout the same, in the capital city and its provinces in 4 Regional University Centres (CRUs) and several Local University Offices (SULs). The UMSA is the second oldest university in Bolivia, after the San Francisco Xavier University of Chuquisaca (1624) and the most representative of the Bolivian University System.
