The Miguel Hernández University (Universitat Miguel Hernández), is a public university located in the province of Alicante and was established in 1996. Its name commemorates the Spanish poet Miguel Hernández. The UMH has four university campuses (Elche, Altea, Orihuela and Sant Joan d'Alacant).
