The Universitat de Vic - Central University of Catalonia, (UVic) is a private Catalan university with premises in Vic, Manresa and Granollers. It is a privately managed institution, under public supervision through its proprietor, the Balmes University Foundation, whose chair is the Mayor of Vic. 1997 On 21 May, the Catalan Parliament in plenary session unanimously approve the Law for Recognition of UVic.
