Ural State Agricultural University (URGAU)

The Ural State Agrarian University is the successor of the Ural State Agricultural Academy, and earlier the Sverdlovsk Agricultural Institute. It was founded on February 5, 1940.
For 85 years, the university has been conducting educational and research activities taking into account both Russian and international experience in the context of modernization and innovative development of Russia, taking into account the demand for qualified personnel and domestic scientific developments by organizations in the agro-industrial complex.
Over the years of its work, the university has graduated more than 50 thousand specialists with higher professional education, including laureates of state prizes, holders of state honorary titles, outstanding figures in science and politics, winners and prize-winners of high-level awards.
Today's successes are the result of the daily work of the university's faculty, its students, master's students, postgraduates and staff.
The university develops innovative projects and educational initiatives, conducts fundamental scientific research, carefully preserves the traditions of previous generations and creates new ones. Among the priority tasks is the formation and development of an advanced agricultural educational, research and innovation center of the Urals, the introduction of new areas of training specialists in accordance with the requirements of the country's legislation in the field of education.
The training of highly qualified specialists capable of working effectively for the benefit of the Ural region and the entire country remains, as it was many decades ago, a priority task for the Ural State Agrarian University.
