  AGRIS Network welcomes TEC from Costa Rica

TEC

The Technological Institute of Costa Rica (TEC) has joined the International System for Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS) of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

TEC is an autonomous public university founded in 1971, dedicated to teaching, research, and outreach in the technological and related sciences, to promote academic and scientific development in Costa Rica. It has a main campus in Cartago and regional campuses in San Carlos, San José, Alajuela, and Limón.

Currently, TEC boasts approximately 1,592 records, covering topics such as phenology, germination, agriculture, biomass, fertilization, and more.

TEC's participation in the AGRIS Network marks a significant step in enhancing the visibility and impact of agricultural research in the region. By joining AGRIS, the institution further highlights the important contributions made in food and agriculture, applying its knowledge and expertise to the sustainable development of Costa Rica and the surrounding region.
