New training about AGRIS in the Republic of Moldova

31 May 2022 - 10:00 EEST

The Republican Scientific Agricultural Library of the State Agrarian University of Moldova, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), organizes the training "Building synergies with the academic community to increase the visibility of agricultural information and data from the Republic of Moldova in AGRIS".

The training will be held online, on Tuesday, 31 May 2022, 10:00 EEST.

AGRIS represents a global multilingual public database that provides free access to approximately 14 million bibliographic records, including over 1,500 data sets, in more than 90 of the world’s languages.

As AGRIS responds to the new Open Science paradigm and applies the FAIR principles as a way to disseminate and increase the visibility of agricultural information and data, the purpose of the training is to familiarize participants with the concepts of Open Science in agriculture, FAIR Data Principles and AGRIS Open Data Set.

The training also aims at  improving the visibility and accessibility of scientific agriculture publications and data in the Republic of Moldova and at increasing the use of scientific results from AGRIS by Moldovan researchers in the context of Open Science.

The training is designed for agricultural specialists, researchers, PhD students and other members of the agricultural community and will be provided in Romanian.
