The Asociación Galega de Investigadores para el Desarrollo Rural is a professional and scientific organization based in Galicia, Spain. It brings together researchers, academics, and professionals focused on the study, promotion, and sustainable development of rural areas. The Association published the Spanish Journal of Rural Development (SJRD) from 2009 to 2016 with the aim of being a discussion forum that would contribute to the improvement of knowledge of the rural world, focused on its sustainable development. It was a multidisciplinary journal that focused on forestry, agriculture, environment, rural planning, international cooperation and socioeconomic issues, but always focused on its application to achieve sustainable rural development of local populations.
