Introduction to AGRIS: How to effectively search Global Agricultural Research

22/04/2026

FAO hosted a webinar on 6 November to explore AGRIS, the International System for Agricultural Science and Technology, and demonstrate how to search effectively and efficiently within the database. This webinar, titled “Introduction to AGRIS: How to effectively search Global Agricultural Research,” guided participants through the basics of using AGRIS, one of the most comprehensive free databases for agricultural and food science literature.

AGRIS offers free access to millions of records in more than 100 languages, making it a key resource for researchers, students, librarians, and professionals in the field of agriculture. It indexes various materials, from journal articles and books to conference papers and grey literature, focused on FAO's thematic areas such as food security, climate change, and sustainable agriculture.
