Variety

Group of similar organisms within a species that clearly differs from other members of the species. Organisms of one variety transmit their characteristics to their offspring, but are also capable of interbreeding with other varieties within the same species. Term usually restricted to plant species (Art, H.W. (ed.) (1993)).

Vulnerability

The conditions determined by physical, social, economic and environmental factors or processes which increase the susceptibility of an individual, a community, assets or systems to the impacts of hazards.
