FAO supports the government in developing and advocating for policies in the agriculture sector, promotes production and productivity as well as improving value chains and sustainable natural resource management and utilization in the efforts to transform the country's agrifood systems to be more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable.
The FAO office in Eswatini was established in 1971, and since then, it has made significant progress in combating hunger and poverty. Current efforts are directed towards revitalizing the agriculture sector, which is essential for sustainable economic development and food security.
