Eswatini at a glance
The FAO Office in Eswatini was established in 1971 and has since made significant contributions to combating hunger and poverty. The current technical assistance programs are focused on revitalising the agriculture sector for increased private sector investment for sustainable employment in the agriculture value chain.
The FAO collaborates closely with the Government in policy development and advocacy within the agriculture sector and its sub-sectors. It promotes agricultural production and productivity, enhances value chains, and promotes sustainable natural resource management and utilization.

Country Programming Framework
FAO Eswatini's CPF 2022 - 2025 sets out three priority areas that guide FAO's partnership with and support to the Government of Eswatini. These areas combine innovative international good practices and global standards with national and regional expertise.

FAO's work in Eswatini is guided by the FAO Strategic Framework and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework in Eswatini, in line with the Country's development policy and priorities and helps Eswatini to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030.
